By using Encoder & Decoder Suite, you agree to these terms. They are short by design.

The tool is free

This is a free web utility. There is no account, no subscription, no payment. You may use it for personal, commercial, educational, or any lawful purpose.

No warranty

The tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantee that the output is correct, complete, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Always validate the output before using it in a production system.

Examples of why you might want to double-check:

• Token-count estimates are approximations (typically ±10% for English text). For exact counts, use the official tokenizer.
• Cron expressions are interpreted per the platform you select; verify against your actual cron runner before relying on a schedule.
• JSON formatting and secret redaction are best-effort. The redactor uses regex patterns — it will miss novel secret formats. Review your output before sharing.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the inputs you provide and the actions you take based on outputs. We are not liable for:

• Production incidents from misinterpreted output
• Credentials you choose to paste (note: nothing leaves your browser, but verify with DevTools yourself)
• Compliance violations resulting from your usage
• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

Acceptable use

Don't use this site to:

• Attack, scrape at high volume, or attempt to compromise our hosting
• Frame, mirror, or relabel the tool as your own work without attribution
• Violate any applicable law

If your usage incurs significant compute or bandwidth at our edge, we reserve the right to rate-limit. In practice this would require sustained automated traffic — normal humans never hit this.

Open source

This site's HTML and client-side code is open source. You can read, fork, or self-host it. License: MIT (or whatever the LICENSE file in our public repo specifies). Brand assets, content (text, images), and the "Plato" name are © Plato and not covered by the code license.

Advertising

Once approved for Google AdSense, this site will serve ads. We do not control which ads are shown; that is determined by Google's ad-targeting system. We are not responsible for advertiser content or claims. Report problematic ads to Google directly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, the "Last updated" date at the top changes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Substantive changes (e.g. introducing a paid tier) will be announced on the homepage.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the operator's primary jurisdiction.
